Why I wrote my poem

My motherland means everything to me, which is why I read this poem. It doesn't rhyme but I don't mind and I was so anxious to read it but my body got up and I took a deep breath and said it out loud. When the words came out I was relieved and felt good, I felt so good that I even volunteered to say it in front of the whole school.

Hi Maara, I am proud of you for stepping up and sharing your beautiful poem. It was free verse so it didn't need to follow a rhyming pattern.
